Special effects are used very often during shooting of films, commercials, musical video clips and other video reels. We are talking even not about space or fantastic scenes. The world of special effects is much wider. Good job of special effects’ master is to make viewers believe in what is happening at the scene, even knowing that it can not happen theoretically.  
It has to be understood that even the simplest things can’t be shot without special effects. Slowly pouring milk, appetizing shine of a chocolate bar, clear ice cube, creeping smoke, beautiful buildings, unusual color of the sky – all these are examples of special effects.
How are they created? In reality the world of special effects is much more diverse than usual viewers think. Every one can see special effect in a fantastic film, but not every one is able to see a special effect in a simple scene, where, for example, a gardener picks up an apple or a kitten eats its food. Film’s speeding up and speeding down, freeze-frame, reverse scrolling, frame’s superimposing are methods of working with images, which widely used in commercials’ creation.  Special techniques exist that help to create different visual effects: steam, dew, mist, ice, web, dust, etc. Sometimes it is necessary to use computer graphics.
Computer 2d and 3d graphics is all-powerful instrument for special effects’ creation. Qualitative computer graphic, creation of complex 3d models is rather difficult process, but the result can be mind-bending and rather expensive.
